Our Factories in India

Our integrated sugar facility in Samalkot, Andhra Pradesh can crush 4,000 tons of sugarcane per day, with a distillation capacity of 20,000 litres per day and ethanol production of 30,000 litres per day. This facility has won several accolades for energy efficiency, with power consumption as low as 23kWh per tonne of sugarcane. We have also achieved zero discharge - all the effluents from our production process are dealt with through our reverse osmosis and spent wash evaporation plants, with the residue used for composting materials and organic manure.

We are currently replicating this business internationally, with 10,000 hectares already allotted for a proposed integrated sugar facility in Zambia. Regulatory and site development processes are well underway, including irrigation facilities and environmental impact assessments. We have begun developing our seed stocks, in association with the South African Sugarcane Research Institute, and are conducting market studies for the supply of sugar and by-products in the region.

Status of the Project :

  • Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the project is prepared by an external consultant.

  • Approval from Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA) for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) has been obtained.

  • Sugarcane seed multiplication initiated with tissue culture seedlings varieties as recommended by the South African Sugarcane Research Institute (SASRI).

  • Works pertaining to irrigation facilities and site development have been commenced.

  • Conducting market research for sugar & by-products in Zambia and neighboring countries.
