Executive Team

D. Ashok

Our chairman joined the group in 1981 and has overseen the growth of Nava Bharat from a ferro alloys manufacturer into a diversified, international business conglomerate. Mr Ashok brings 36 years of management experience to the board and holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin in the United States.

P Trivikrama Prasad

Our managing director joined the group in 1981 and oversees Nava Bharat’s regular operations and expansion requirements with a focus on financial management. Mr Prasad holds an MBA from the United States and brings 36 years of experience in corporate planning, management and sector knowledge of the sugar industry to the board.

Ashwin Devineni

Mr Ashwin joined the group in 2010 and oversees Nava Bharat’s regular operations with a focus on managing and developing international ventures in Asia and Africa. Prior to joining Nava Bharat, he worked in various positions involving corporate acquisitions for Hewlett Packard, Opsware, iConclude. With a graduate degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Washington, USA, he brings a great deal of experience in global corporate acquisitions to the board.

GRK Prasad

Our executive director joined the group in 1995 and oversees the operations and improvement of Nava Bharat’s internal controls and financial processes. Mr Prasad brings 37 years of experience in finance, accounting and management, with expertise in project financing and M&A management, to the board. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

CV Durga Prasad

Our director of business development joined the group in 1973 and oversees Nava Bharat’s ferro alloys operations, with a specific focus on acquiring raw materials and marketing finished products. Mr Durga Prasad bring 45 years of industrial experience to the board, with expertise in the commercial aspects of the global and domestic metals industry and long-term business relations.

Dr D Nageswara Rao

Dr Rao holds a doctorate and a post graduate degree in electronic engineering from the University of Strathclyde, UK. He has previously worked with Duke Arnics Electronics, a firm with a global reputation in the metering, monitoring and management of electrical networks. He is a visiting faculty member at the Engineering Staff College of India and the Rural Electricity Institute.

K Durga Prasad

Mr Prasad is a retired Indian Police Service officer (1981 batch) with deep experience of security, law and order and intelligence operations. He has served in several government departments including State Intelligence, Anti-Naxal Operations, Vigilance and Law and Order, and also in the Special Protection Group and the Central Reserve Police Force, New Delhi. He is currently an advisor to the Home Ministry in the Government of Andhra Pradesh for roads infrastructure in Naxal-affected areas.

GP Kundargi

Mr Kundargi holds a master’s degree in mineral processing and brings over 35 years of industrial experience to the board. He has served in various key positions at MOIL Ltd. (Manganese Ore India Limited), and retired as the Chairman and Managing Director of that company.

Indra Kumar Alluri

Mr Indra Kumar Alluri is a Graduate in Chemical Engineering. He is the Chairman and Managing Director of Avanti Feeds Limited. Mr. Indra Kumar, with his varied experience over three decades is instrumental in development of shrimp culture and processing by bringing latest technology in feed manufacture and also development of value added shrimp products for exports, earning valuable foreign exchange to the country. He is also actively associated with management of educational institutions, old age homes and other social activities.

T Hari Babu, Chief Financial Officer

Mr Hari Babu is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India with 30 years of experience in finance, accounts and taxation. He oversees Nava Bharat’s finance, accounts and tax operations.

PJV Sarma, Senior Executive Vice President (Strategy)

Mr Sarma holds qualifications in chemical engineering and cost accounting, and a post graduate degree in financial management. He brings 37 years of corporate experience to the board, specifically in finance, banking, risk management and strategy.

Y Sreenivasa Murthy, Vice President (Paloncha, Telangana)

Mr Murthy heads the overall management of Nava Bharat’s ferro alloy and power plants in Paloncha, Telangana. He holds a graduate degree in mechanical engineering as well as a master’s degree in business administration (finance and marketing) and brings 31 years of industry and management experience to the board.

Y Pattanaik, Vice President (Kharagprasad, Odisha)

Mr Pattanaik heads the overall management of Nava Bharat’s ferro alloy and power plants at Kharagprasad, Odisha. He holds a graduate degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in business administration and bring 26 years of industrial experience of plant operations to the board.

N Prabhakar, Vice President (Sugar)

Mr Prabhakar heads Nava Bharat’s sugar division, overseeing operations at Samalkot and Dharmavarm, Andhra Pradesh. He holds a graduate degree in science and is a qualified associate of the National Sugar Institute. He brings 35 years of industry experience in the operation, modernisation and expansion of sugar plants to the board.

VSN Raju, Company Secretary and Vice President

Mr Raju is an associate member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, with over 20 years of experience in ensuring business compliance with regulatory and legal requirements. He serves as the chief investor relations and compliance officer for Nava Bharat, and also oversees the company’s secretarial and legal operations.

Nikhil Devineni, Vice President (Commercial)

Holds an MBA from ESADE Business School, Barcelona and a degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) (with emphasis on Operations and Information Management) from the University of Colorado, Boulder, USA. Prior to joining NBVL, he spent a bulk of his career as Business Development Manager at Kobe Green Power Co. Ltd. in Laos where he spearheaded the development of a 150MW Greenfield Hydroelectric Plant. Besides playing a key role in negotiating all project documents, he ensured a profitable exit from the project. Mr. Nikhil currently oversees the Commercial, Marketing and Business Development Functions of the Company.
