Corporate Social Responsibility

The company is committed to good corporate citizenship and endeavours to build and nurture long lasting relationships with members of the society in general and the communities around its manufacturing facilities in particular.

The company’s CSR Policy is built on the principle of giving back to the society from which it draws its resources, by extending a helping hand to the needy and the underprivileged.

NBV has chosen Health, Education and Livelihoods as the three thrust areas for discharging its Corporate Social Responsibility.

Apart from the above thrust areas, NBV strives to serve the society through various other measures. It has donated funds for construction of buildings for the Extension Unit of Home for the Disabled, at Sampanbole village, in Telangana.

Other measure comprise sinking bore wells, laying roads, construction of drains, bus shelters and temples, conducting sports & competitions, distribution of clothes and relief materials, etc.

The company focuses on creating awareness and improving health standards of rural poor through providing facilities and reaching quality health care in the areas of general medicine, eye care, dental care, etc.

Establishment of Eye Care Centres

To serve the needs of a large tribal and other underprivileged population, NBV has established, in association with LV Prasad Eye Institute, Nava Bharat Eye Center at Paloncha in Telangana, India.

So far, the center has treated 70,000 out patients and performed about 7,000 Surgeries.

NBV has provided financial assistance to Bhubaneswar Eye Institute, a world-class eye care centre set up at Bhubaneswar, in Odisha, by the famous LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad.

In association with Operation Eyesight Universal, NBV established the Ophthalmic Centre (a comprehensive eye care unit) at the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka, Zambia. This has contributed substantially to eradication of avoidable blindness, a major concern in Zambia.

Conducting Medical Camps

Most people in rural areas live in unhygienic conditions and suffer from general ailments and diseases due to lack of awareness and necessary medical help. NBV has been organizing medical camps in villages to mitigate this problem.

Construction of Village Health Centres

To reach good medical treatment to villagers NBV has constructed full-fledged Village Health Centres at Bhatlapenumarru in the State of Andhra Pradesh and Kharagprasad in the State of Odisha.

Providing Healthy Drinking Water

Responding to the basic need of clean and safe drinking water in rural areas, NBV extended financial help for installation of Drinking Water Plant at G. Medapadu village, in Andhra Pradesh.

NBV adopts a multi-pronged approach to promote quality education in backward areas. The measures taken by the company comprise.

Establishing and running full-fledged high schools - Nava Bharat Schools at Paloncha in the State of Telangana - and management of Brahmani Public School at Kharagprasad in the State of Odisha. The company’s Schools have been achieving 100% results year after year with a large percentage of distinctions and have become Centres of Excellence in secondary education in the region.

Arranging tuitions for poor students to inculcate the habit of study and avoid school drop-outs among the children of poor and illiterate parents.


Construction / extension of financial support for school and hostel buildings for tribal and differently abled students.

Granting scholarships from Dr. D. Subba Rao Trust, established to support higher education of meritorious students who do not have adequate financial resources for such education.

NBV aims at lending a helping hand to people by providing means of livelihood and empowerment.

Vocational Training

A large number of youth in the society are constrained by inadequate skills, leading to irregular employment / unemployment while there is an increasing demand from the industries, for skilled and talented manpower. This opens up the need to provide quality training to talented youth to improve their skills and employability.

Responding to this need, NBV has set up Nava Bharat Vocational Institute at Paloncha which is providing vocational training in Welding, Electrician, Fitting and Plumbing trades. It is also providing training in Tailoring & Embroidery work and Beautician trades to ladies.
